I LOVE bird houses. I have a few but haven't put any up as I'm waiting to get the fence up (after the screened porch is built) and then I can put in a garden with the bird houses in place. I'm amazed at all the different styles of birdhouses there are! I especially love the home made versions but there are some nice ones you can purchase too. Somehow a birdhouse in the garden just ads charm, character...and in some cases...color.
Here are a few pictures I have found for you.
I'd like a few of these in my garden!
Do you have a birdhouse in your garden?

What a nice collection of bird houses. I like the ones that used old boots just cause I like to recycle.
I could not find Patricia Ahn when I went to playlist, but I did find Acoustic Alhemy. Many thanks.
Good idea! i like the little blue house, it's cute and the big one too. But the others are surprising! have a good day, busy day? hugs
Great inspiration! Sadly, no, we don't but I've often thought of making one to match the farmhouse. It would be nice to replace that old satellite dish with something for the birds! Then again, maybe they're already getting more use of it than we are, I wonder if they get the nature channel? ; )

Oh, I just love birdhouses, Maura. My yard is chock full of them, all made by me! Many have regular spring tenants. I love birdwatching, well, backyard birdwatching.
Thank you for leaving such a thoughtful comment. I cherish our friendship.
Hugs & Love,
Laura
I love bird houses and I do have a few but I sure would like a big one like the yellow and green one!
Hi Maura: What a lovely collection of birdhouses, I especially love the old boot one, I am inspired to make one just like it !
I have an addiction of sorts to birdhouses, all shapes and sizes, mostly all occupied this year, and full of baby birds :)
I have them in my kitchen, my keeping room, my bathromms....oh, dear.
Thank you for always visiting and leaving such lovely comments, I hope we can visit back and forth for a long, long time.
Love your blog !!
Love the birdhouses. Don't they add a charming touch to the flower beds? My Caity-bug loves them too because she gets to watch the residents.

I really like the bird house that you started your post with. Isn't it amazing what they make them out of now days? I imagine you are still getting rain there as we are here. We have three rivers that are out of their bank. I feel sorry for the farmers especially the one who lost his winter wheat. My dad always said that it depended on Mother Nature what kind of a crop you got. Have a wonderful day.
I love the bird houses and the bat house in the garden around Pondside. I think that we had seven at last count!
Good Morning, Maura! I've spent some lovely time here at your farm this morning. Loved all the birdhouses. Your post on the outdoor beds reminded me of my grandpa's 'shadetree bed'. It was just an old bedspring across two saw horses and he'd take naps on it. When I was little I thought everyone had a shadetree bed. Have a nice day! Twyla
Hi there! I'm finally able to see your blog again - sad to have been gone for so long but for good reasons. I love the birdhouses. It's funny that you did that because our mutual friends from Brandon have a couple of really neat ones in their yard and was just telling her yesterday that I wanted to take some pics to send to you and I thought it would be a great blog topic! Great minds think alike! I am always amazed at the imagination of some people using old boots and hats for houses. They're awesome. I don't have a birdhouse but after seeing these, I just may find a tree in the backyard to put one in ... thanks for the inspiration!
Love the music, by the way. Your blog is so peaceful and loving, just like you ..thanks.... Scufty
