Bubba

Chubba Bubba

As I was trying to figure out what to write about for this blog I came across some photo's I took a few weeks ago of the dogs playing. It was then that I realized I really haven't shown you many pictures of Bubba our little Shih Tzu.

Bubba and Lizzy just minding their own business enjoying loves from Dad

Usually when I'm out with the camera taking photo's with all the other animals tagging along....Bubba is on the porch taking his beauty nap. He's not really a sociable dog...doesn't know how to play with other dogs other than Chelsea (our other Shih Tzu).

"I'm gonna kick your butt Shep!'

"Ok that's it ...now you're gonna get it!"

And of course Shep our HUGE Akbash pup doesn't make Bubba's life easy as he is ALWAYS bugging poor Bubba. I've been noticing lately though that Bubba has drawn the line and is now letting Shep know in no uncertain terms that he's had enough teasing...THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

"I get my teeth on you you're gonna be sorry!"

These pictures were taken while my hubby and I were taking a break from working on the chicken run for our chicks. All three dogs and the two cats were hanging around wanting to play or be petted and of course that's when the bugging began and Shep finally got put in his place...sort of...by Bubba.

Lizzy getting a safe distance away from the action

It was hilarious to watch as Shep is big enough to put all of Bubba's head in his mouth but that didn't stop Bubba from putting up a good fight. The funny thing was ...Bubba was dead serious and was trying to lay a serious licking on Shep to let him know to 'back off' but Shep was just playing.

'Now Stay Down!'

Lizzy and I at a safe distance

Bubba tried hard to get his point across to Shep...but it didn't really work.
Maybe one day he'll get more than just hair.

Hi Maura, I love your animals! one of my dogs is always pulling the other to go where he wants him to go, the poor dog can't do anything by himself. They are always playing but don't hurt each other, it makes a lot of noise, that's all!!! have a good day .

Hi Catherine..I know what you mean about the noise...Bubba sounds so serious and once in a while he'll get a yelp out of Shep. The fun really starts when both Bubba and Chelsea start chasing big Shep around the yard...it's hilarious! You'll have to post pictures of your pets playing one day. Have a good day too my friend. What a fun post. Your dogs are adorable. That photo of you and Lizzy would be framed and up on the wall if it was me. Love it! Hugs, Deb

Aren't animals fun to watch? I receive so much pleasure from my not so young puppy, he's an endless source of amusement.

Thanks for sharing your pets Maura.

Your post makes me wish I was back on the farm with all of the animals. I know there is a lot more work to be done there, but it was always worth it. Thank you for sharing your pictures with us. Have a wonderful day.

Hello Friends! My goodness it's wonderful to meet all you new visitors to the farm...welcome! And to my 'old' friends it's always good to see you here...I wish we could sit and visit a spell although today wouldn't have been a good day for that with tornado warnings all afternoon and evening. We're still under a tornado watch but I'm sure we're out of the woods now.

Cynthia thanks for mentioning Oz Girls friend. I hope that info I gave you helps. Have a wonderful Tuesday my friend!

Hello my cat loving friend! I'm glad you liked the post today. Oh heavens I don't think I'd like a picture with my ugly mug on it...Olly's cute fuzzy face yes...but I can do without seeing me LOL! I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday...

G'day 'down under' Sandi...nice to see you again! It seems so strange to go onto your blog and see you say that you got up early Tuesday morning when I haven't even gone to bed Monday night LOL! I'm glad you have a furry friend to make you laugh too...have a great day!

Hello Shirley! I'm glad I brought back memories of your family farm...people who grow up on farms are so lucky but I don't think they appreciate it when they're young. It's when they get older that they realize just what a wonderful life they had growing up. I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday...

Hi Millie...you're right Bubba does have the heart of a lion. That never showed until we got Shep and it's certainly surprised us! He's no pushover that's for sure LOL. Have a wonderful day...

Jamjar welcome...it's great to meet another fellow Kansan! I hope you were safe and sound today and the tornado's didn't affect you or any of your friends or loved ones. I hope you'll come back again soon to visit with us...take care and stay safe...

Thank you again...all of you ladies for stopping by to say hello and spend a little time with us here on the farm. I'll be by to visit you all soon. Take good care of yourselves....Maura :)

Thank you for sharing you dream with us!!! I found you from Words on Wheels. I keep thinking I need to find a barn. Maybe not an entire farm, but some land with a barn. And some chicks. Definitely chicks. Looking forward to more!

We have a Boxer and two cats...the female still stays away from her...and the male cat...well they sleep and bathe each other...oddest dog/cat relationship ever! Have fun with your new addition! :)

What fun photos, I'm so glad you posted them! Your furry babies are so cute! I'm such a huge dog lover. I can just imagine what it looks like when they're chasing each other around the yard!

I'm so interested in chickens! I've been researching them trying to decide if they're something I want to add to my suburban yard. Look forward to seeing the chicken run!
