After bringing home my flea market dresser
last week I have been thinking a lot
about our bathroom.
I'm still not sure if I will use that dresser for
our vanity or use a smaller one that we have.
We're not ready to ready to do anything right
away as we're still working outside getting
ready for the people to come and take
down our large building.
Once that's done then we can start working on
the fun projects!
For now...I thought you'd like to see
some BEAUTIFUL cottage style bathrooms that
inspire me.
Enjoy!
Living Etc
I love the size of this bathroom and the
huge window.

We have an old cast iron bathtub that I
would love to get re-enameled and
bring inside.
Country Living
I LOVE the ceiling in this room and
the vintage feel.
Again I love the ceiling in this room along with
the vintage mirrors and that huge custom made
vanity.
Love the tub surround.
See that door!

I love the way the area is divided with a half
wall and window.

Wouldn't this be a wonderful bathroom to get up
to in the morning. How could you not
be in a good mood after spending
time in here!

I like yellow.
After seeing these pictures again I'm thinking
maybe I need to find a different dresser to
use as a vanity as I'm REALLY liking the white.
That oak dresser we bought home is too nice to
paint. Back to the drawing board.
I hope you've enjoyed looking at these pictures as much as I have and that they gave you inspiration if you're
thinking of doing something different to your bathroom.
Any renovation or decorating plans in your near future?

Maura, what beautiful bathrooms! Thanks for sharing and good luck when you redo yours!!
Hi Miss Maura,
So pretty. But we know your bathroom will be spectacular, and will put these pictures to shame.
Know what? We love you to pieces.

I love the cottagey bathrooms. I'd really like to do something like that in our bathroom but my husband isn't a fan of "different". I have however convinced him to use an old pedestal sink but instead of using a pedestal, you place it directly on the countertop. Our bathroom vanity is lower than normal height and so having an old sink on top wouldn't be too high. I've also convinced him to use old style hex tiles for the floor and we already nabbed a free bathtub on craig's list. Now if I could just convince him that a table or dresser would be a much better vanity I'd be set......

OH... and PS, I keep forgetting to tell you how much I love your chicken feeder turned flower planter! I might have to track one of those down for next spring!
Chris
I love the white bathrooms. I think the custom made vanity is gorgeous and I would want 2 sink areas if I was to redo. You know, one for the messy mister and one for neat and tidy me. Love your blog and give those kitties of yours a big hug. Deb =^..^=x5
They're all so gorgeous. We are doing a mini reno on our bathroom and our big debate is over the vanity. I'd like two sinks, while The Great Dane wants only one - who will win???
Lot's of great inspiration there Maura!
I so like your idea of using a dresser for the vanity, that is something I have always wanted to do. And an old fashioned cast iron bathtub!
We are working on my daughters old bedroom and it's coming along.
Take Care,
Cindy
I love a predominately white bathroom, so these are perfect. So pretty...all of them.

Lots of great ideas. Mine get rid of the tub and put in a frameless shower at least 6ft wide with a huge shower rain head.
I love all the bathrooms above. They are just beautiful I think I like the yellow one the most. Yellow makes me so happy. That dresser is so beautiful there are a hundred great things you can do with it. Great choice!!
Amy
Maura you are right not to paint that beautiful oak dresser...but the other one would come up a treat if you just changed the handles. Whatever you do, I am sure you'll pick the best from all these country bathrooms and come up with something spectacular of your very own.

Hi Maura :) These are some incredibly beautiful bathrooms...lots of inspiration and ideas. Thanks so much for stopping by, and for your lovely comment:) I do have a couple of really gorgeous antique pieces of furniture that I haven't painted, and could never bring myself to ever paint. It's nice to incorporate both painted and natural pieces together, I think :)
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend, warmest, Brenda
Creo que todas las apreciaciones que has hecho de cada cuarto de baño de los que nos has enseñado son perfectas.
Seguro que te queda genial.

Yes I think it would be a good idea, another one painted white to match.
More great photos! We are off to buy paint today : )
I love your photos...full of inspiration! A new bathroom is on my wish-list for spring. We have an old clawfoot tub we discovered in the basement. I'm trying hard to convince my husband we should use it. I know...it'll take some TLC, but it would be so neat to know it was once a part of our old house. And I'm inspired by the window/door divider in the CL photo...hmmm, wonder if I can convince him of that too?!
These photos make me want to repaint my bathroom white!
Nothing like a cast iron tub to say farmhouse bathroom! I looked at refinished ones before anxiously ordering a new one online. I got it from vintagetub.com. I have to say I was very nervous about purchasing it sight unseen. I mean what do you do with a 1000 lbs. tub if you don't like it. Bottom line ~ best purchase I made for our house. It is absolutely amazing! Same price as a whirlpool tub from HD and painted black on the outside for an extra $100. Delivered free to the door on a truck. Seriously, you should get one for your bathroom redo. You won't be sorry. Promise!
