Good Food And A Flea Market!

It's only the afternoon and already it's been a WONDERFUL day.

We were up fairly bright and early ...got all the critters fed and then we were off and 'running' to a small
town not far from us.

I couldn't wait to have breakfast at

The Cracker Barrel!

I love this place for breakfast and this morning
 I was ordering
Apple Streusel French Toast!

Have you tried it?

OMGoodness it is delicious!

This is a stock photo and doesn't do my breakfast
justice AT ALL!
It comes with 3 slices of the Apple Streusel French Toast
covered in Cinnamon Apple Dumplin' Syrup
and a dollop of REAL butter
2 eggs anyway you like them
and 2 strips of bacon or 2 smoked sausage patties.

The bread they use has bits of apple in it...
oh my.

While we were waiting for our order
I played this.

I love this thing. One day I figured it out and had one
piece left which according to the game makes me a
GENIUS!
I did it 3 times in a row then never went back to Cracker Barrel for a couple of months.

I could never do it again.

Guess what. This morning I did it!

This had the makings of a REAL GOOD DAY.

From there we went to the...

Every month except July and August they have
a  large Flea Market about 17 miles from us.
We don't go to all of them so it had been quite a while since we were there.

I was READY.
I needed my Flea Market Fix.

I had money. And I had a blast.

Here are a few of the treasures I brought home.

$4.00

$2.00

$10

 $10 for both

.50
Love this old enamel cup. I think I'll hang it off
our old hand pump once we get the picket fence up
or Shep will run off with it.

$10

This is an old school bell that I'm going to have
my Mr Fixit put on the old back porch for now.

$22
Old potato/onion bin.
Think I may paint and distress this.
Love the enamel knobs and the wood door 'locks'.

Can't wait to get the picket fence up to display this...

$45

I actually bought one more thing but we have to pick it up tomorrow.

You'll have to wait.

So...now I'm going to put my treasures away and get my school bell put up.
It was a REALLY GOOD DAY!

What did you do this weekend?

Maura :)

Oh my goodness, you did have a "treasure" of a day.

Did you know that you can buy that little peg game? Mom has one that she bought many years ago at a cute little restaurant in Lake Park, GA.

We sorta just "hung out" today. M&D gave Molly a bath and Jessie will have hers next weekend. We think she thinks she "escaped" hahahahaha....not a chance.

We loved looking at those pictures, thank you for sharing.

I had a bike similar to that one. I painted it royal blue. You certainly did have a fun day with all your great finds. Are you going to put a basket on the front of your bike? Can you still ride it? It looks in good condition.

Now you have me hanging in suspense. I shall return tomorrow to see what has to be delivered.

Have a happy and bright week.

I found something wonderful this weekend too at a primitive shop that was moving...I will surprise you too...stay tuned.

What a perfect day!! I love all of your treasures.. and can't wait to see the bicycle in its special spot! My first bike was a Western Flyer from the Western Auto store that some friends of our family owned.

I love shopping for treasures. You sure did find some pretty little things, and big things! ;)
Love Cracker Barrel. We have one about 11 miles away. We call it the "Gumby Restaurant." Ever since my son was little, he has this thing for Gumby and Pokey. Cracker Barrel was the only place nearby that sold those flexible guys, hence the made up name. A great place to eat, especially when your on a road trip!

Oh, well. I will just have to drool over all your finds! I love days like that. The most inexpensive thing can become the biggest treasure!!

Cannot wait to see what else you brought home!
