Animal Antics On The Farm

Chelsea chasing Shep

It was a great weekend. Not as warm as it has been but it was sunny for the most part and wonderful to be outside. I took my camera out to take a few pictures of the lilacs before they start to fade...the dogs and cats came with me. All was calm and quiet at first but then the fun began...Chelsea bugged Shep until the chase was on.

I tried to take pictures...good ones... but it all happened so fast and they were 'flying' around the yard that I just didn't get a chance to set my camera. I thought you wouldn't mind too much if I still posted them. Bubba stayed on the patio...he's no fool.

Olly the cat stood around and watched and then headed for the trees....Lizzy the other cat stayed out of the way. Smart girl.

They all seemed to have fun though and in the end everyone was happy....and tuckered out.

Olly the cat is friends with everyone.

Shep had to have some fun with Lizzy who doesn't play very well.
Love the look on his face...he just can't resist being a pest even when he's being hssst at!

Olly...always in the middle of every thing and is everyone's friend

Lizzy...right where she loves to be.

I really did get some pictures of the lilacs!

At their peak

It will be sad to see them go.

It was a good day on the farm.

I hope you had a good weekend too.

(please don't look too close at all the dirt work going on!)

Beautiful flowers and a cute cast of characters! : )

And don't worry, we have our own dirt thing happening too thanks to our new septic in the fall. I had no idea the mess it woudl make. Uggh!

Be well ~Andrea~

Hello Andrea! Oh brother...your dirt thing is worse than ours then. Ours is spread much wider I'm sure but yours is/was much more messy and costly! I will be SO glad when we get the dirt all smoothed out around the house and then shrubs and grass planted. Good luck cleaning up your septic tank dirt...just think though...you won't have to do that again for a long time! I hope you have a wonderful day. Maura

Hi Maura, Love the pics of the animals in motion...does Eeyore ever move? or is he still gone doing his community service work? Love everything i see...so beautiful...

Hi Cynthia! LOL yes Eeyore moves...not as much as Phoebe but when he wants to he can pour on the steam! He and Phoebe are still at the other farm having a blast with the other animals so won't be coming home any time soon. One of these days we'll get over there with camera and get a picture of him for you. It would be much prettier around here if we had some grass!!! Patience isn't my virtue when it comes to dirt I guess. I hope you're having a wonderful Monday my friend. Hugs..Maural:)

How much excitement with all the animals. It is fun to watch all the critters playing. It's good they mostly get along.

Your animals remind me of ours when I was growing up. The lilacs are absolutely beautiful. They would smell like heaven I know. They probably wouldn't help my allergies, but I would have to smell them anyway. The weekend was beautiful and I would like to have some more of them. Have a wonderful week.

That's so hilarious to see Chelsea chasing Shep like that - certainly her personality though! And thanks for bringing the smell of lilacs to us up here. Still not showing yet but soon I hope. At least we have some sun and a few flowers are starting to poke through the ground. Thanks for this blog... it's wonderful!

I love to see dogs playing together. I used to have a Pyr and a Beagle that chased each other. Your photos are lovely.
