The Gardeners Morning
The robins song at daybreak
Is a clarion call to me,
Get up and get in the garden,
For the morning hours flee.
I cannot resist the summons,
For what earnest gardner could?
For the golden hours of morning,
Get into the gardners blood.
The magic spell is upon me,
I'm glad that I did not wait;
For lifes at it's best in the morning,
As you pass through the garden gate.

Oh how I'd LOVE to have gardens like these!
Can you smell these roses?
A perfect place to sit and enjoy the view
Imagine having tea in this garden in the morning.
Love this fence
I miss my flower gardens. I dream of my gardens. One day I'll have flower gardens here on the farm but I'm afraid it will be some time before we are ready to devote time and money towards them.
So in the meantime I dream.
Sometimes these are dreams of grandeur;
English gardens
Fountains
Arbors
Ponds
Roses
Etc..
Imagine walking down this path
The perfect combination
I love blue in the garden
I love stone walls and vines
Oh how wonderful this garden path would smell!
I hope you get to enjoy your garden in the morning this weekend.
Best Wishes
Maura

Good Morning, Your posts are becoming very romantic and poetic...I'm seeing the growth...Isn't it grand...It took me 9 years to get a garden going...it is alot of work especially in California where there is no dorment period so the garden needs tending year round. It became to much for me so I am mega low maintance now..lots of weeds at present...Have a beautiful Easter weekend dear Maura
Oh, I love the little pink house! How cute and that blue fence is so pretty too! I am not a gardener:( I have a brown thumb. I certainly admire others pretty gardens though and would love to grow my own vegtables, maybe someday. Good luck with yours! Have a happy Easter weekend! Twyla
Hello ladies...so nice to see you all here!
Catherine I love delphiniums too...my English Nana's garden had the most beautiful specimens. There's something very 'cottage' about those flowers. I LOVE the blue.
Misha wouldn't a tour be fun...looks like it would take us over to England too...I'm game!
Twyla and Lindsey I bet your yard still looks nice. I'm sure we'll have lots of weeds and grass growing in all our gardens for a while but we'll get them cleaned up eventually. You have a great weekend too!
Cynthia your garden looks lovely! I can see having a low maintenance garden where you are and there sure are some good gardening catalogs out covering those types of gardens. I've thought about it because of the watering but it's hard to change what you like...and I love English gardens. Something for me to think about I guess. My blog sounds romantic...wow...I guess it's good to be diversified! Hope you have a wonderful day..take care. Maura
I long for a beautiful rose garden. Unfortunately my only rose bush is next to a fence, so the goats trim it regularly.
Those darn goats! Oh well...I'm sure the goats are more fun than the rose bush anyway. Hey at least you don't have to put up with thorns!
Thank you for sharing all of the wonderful pictures of the pretty gardens. We all can have dreams of how we would like things to be, but we all know it takes money and time. Have a wonderful Easter.
Thank you Shirley and you too!
maura,
like you, i long to wander down scented garden paths on a perfect summer day. the days are ahead...a gift to look forward to!

I think we have the same taste in gardens! Alas, I too have to wait, inside and outside renovations are taking priority!
