The Month Of The Irish

my-secret-northern-Ireland.com

The Month of March
is a time of transition
as most of us switch from a long cold winter
into beautiful sunny warm spring weather.

It is a month that we look forward to seeing GREEN.
Whether we are Irish or not...it's also
a month that makes us think
of Ireland.

First off, I am sorry about your step-mom. It is hard to lose family. I love this post. I especially love the photo with the Border Collie. So pretty. I have never been to an English Pub but if you are ever in my area I would be happy to take you to our St. James Gate Irish Pub. Great food and beer. Have a wonderful Sunday, Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5

Oh Maura--these pictures are beautiful and bring back wonderful memories for me. I can tell you I’ve been to several Irish pubs and there is nothing like it on earth. They have little fireplaces with burning sod that I think smells so wonderful. They are often, dark and made of stone and you feel the age and history as you sit in the chairs. A pint is a way of life and the people are so jovial and welcoming. I just love Ireland--I could live there in one of these beautiful thatched cottages for sure :)
Great post friend,
MM

Hello Maura
Somehow I missed the post about your step-mom and I'm sorry to hear of her passing.
As for Ireland, I would love to travel there and see if I could trace some of my husband's family. Great photos you found and I've been wearing a shamrock lapel pin for a couple of days now.

Maura I am an Irish gal! I love Colcannon, what's not to love? Your pictures are a treat this morning. I am celebrating with the teeny bit of green that was in our yard yesterday but today it is surprisingly covered with SNOW. Enjoy your day at Lilac Lane Cottage!
