First off, I am sorry about your step-mom. It is hard to lose family. I love this post. I especially love the photo with the Border Collie. So pretty. I have never been to an English Pub but if you are ever in my area I would be happy to take you to our St. James Gate Irish Pub. Great food and beer. Have a wonderful Sunday, Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5
Oh Maura--these pictures are beautiful and bring back wonderful memories for me. I can tell you I’ve been to several Irish pubs and there is nothing like it on earth. They have little fireplaces with burning sod that I think smells so wonderful. They are often, dark and made of stone and you feel the age and history as you sit in the chairs. A pint is a way of life and the people are so jovial and welcoming. I just love Ireland--I could live there in one of these beautiful thatched cottages for sure :)

We are hoping to go to an Irish Pub (an American one run by an Irish family) Thursday night.
Fantastic post, love the music I was tappin me toes !Have you heard of Lord of the Dance live show, I saw it 3 years ago on stage and have the dvd I just love Michael Flatley ! I have cousins in Ireland that I have never met one day I am going to go there, I have read lots about it.My back ground is British , Scottish and a touch of Irish what a mix lol Have a great day !
