Fruit Pizza

I found this recipe many years ago
when I lived in the mountains of
British Columbia.

I fell in love with it!

I think the first time I made it I used
Kiwi, strawberries and cantaloupe.

Since then I've made it with halved
grapes and honey dew melons...
you can use any in season fruit
and it will be
delicious!

Here's the recipe.

Fruit Pizza

Crust
1 1/4 C flour
1/3 C brown sugar
3 TBSP icing sugar
2/3 C softened butter

Mix all 4 ingredients together in a bowl
until it forms a ball. Press on the bottom
of a regular sized pizza pan.
Bake 350' for about 10-15 minutes
or until golden brown. Cool.

Topping
1 package of cream cheese softened
1/2 C sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Beat all 3 ingredients together.
Spread over cooled cookie crust.

Arrange any kind of fruit you like
on top in a circle.

Glaze fruit using a prepared glaze or
make your own using:
1/4 C apricot Jam or Marmalade
mixed with 1 TBSP of water.
Mix well and rub through a sieve.
Brush all over the fruit.

Chill Fruit Pizza before cutting into wedges
with pizza cutter.

ENJOY!

Strawberry Season

Oh Goodness...
is there anything
better than a ripe strawberry
picked fresh from the garden?!

It's
Strawberry
Season
here on the farm.

Vintage Ironstone Bowl

Last year I planted nearly
75
strawberry plants.
They multiplied.
I have no idea how many plants
I have now but
it's a sure thing that we'll
be eating lots of
Strawberry Shortcake
and other
strawberry goodies
this season.

The freezer will be stocked
and there will be more
jam in the pantry!

While I picked...
my helpers were waiting
outside the garden fence.

This was one days picking.

The strawberries in the vintage ironstone bowl
in the top photos...
were picked the day after these.

And the season is JUST beginning!

I think I need to find more
strawberry recipes
SO
if you have any favorites
please let me know...
I'd love to try them!

I never picked today
as it was chilly and windy
so tomorrow I will be back at it.

And hopefully I'll be back
at painting the house too!

I'm linking up with
