A Room With A View

The view from our dining room window
is pretty at this time of year.

There is an old rose bush
that blooms once a year
right outside this window.

We can also see one of the old buildings
and some of the fruit trees
which are pretty when they are in bloom

I think our dining room
is my favorite room in the house.

The view looking in from
the kitchen.

You can just see the wood stove
to the left.

From the living room.

Into the kitchen.

From the living room again.
Oh goodness...the living room walls
are NOT this yellow...it's the
light this time of day!

Some of our collections.
I love Blue Willow and White Ironstone

Here is another view from the window.

I hate to see the blossoms end
but it's still a pretty
view.

What is your best view?

You have a lovely view. I think my favorite view is looking out over the kitchen sink through the back porch into the back yard and garden area....but then there is the view from the living room out into the front yard where I have a border of perrinials.....and then out my study window to the half-moon garden......sooo I quess there really isn't a view I don't like.....
Blessings,
Kay

My favorite view is from my upstairs bedroom when the Japanese cherry tree is in bloom for all is pink at this time of year and great tits are singing.
My home is really any comparison to yours. Yours is charming, cosy and beautiful and I like the furniture. Thank you to share with us :o)

Hi Maura: That really is a beautiful room with a view. Your floors are so shiny. I love that little chicken lamp on your china cupboard. I've seen one like it in a catalog and I think I will order it for my 'new'kitchen..Happy May Day..Judy

Absolutely gorgeous! Many of the views around my house are cluttered up with the mess of remodeling and renovation right now... I can hardly wait till my views are unencumbered!! :)

Absolutely charming...every bit of it. You house looks like it is a comfy cozy place to be, and sometimes there is nothing more peaceful then "looking out our own windows" towards those things we love.

You are such an artist Maura. Whenever I think of perfection in home decorating, I think of you. Seriously.

My favorite view is to look out the window in the kitchen to the feeders . There is always, color and movement . . . busy yet content. And then I turn and look out through the dining room into the front garden where there is a smaller feeder . The teeny, tiny birds flit amongst the flowers and vines. Vey nice moments indeed!

What a beautiful home you have, just so warm and inviting and the view is wonderful. Love the stained glass window and the Iron Stone collection, so pretty. I can't believe you have roses blooming, if I close my eyes I can almost smell their sweet fragrance. Thank you for the wonderful tour, greetings from Maine, Julie.

Beautiful home Maura. I love to sit in my kitchen/dining room and look out over the farm fields and watch my cows with the bush I love off in the distance.
I also love Blue Willow. B

That is a great view. Your dining room is nice!
I think my favorite view is from my kitchen window. It isn't because it is pretty. It isn't. But it looks out across the church's large, empty lot and not someone else's house!
Happy May Day!

What a beautiful home, Maura. I love your dining room-it is just lovely and homey and warm feeling.

I hate the way the time of day changes the real color of things when we take pictures.

I hope you had a great day- xo Diana

I love your view. It makes me homesick for our place in Missouri. Living out in the country has it's pluses and minuses, but one big plus was the spring time blooms that I could see from all the windows. This reminded me of it. Not like that here in AZ with a rock backyard, at least our pool looks nice. Thanks for sharing.
