Almost Time!

Olly doesn't care that
company is on it's way.

He doesn't care than I'm
scurrying around making
sure things are ready for my
sister ♥Susan's♥ visit.

I'm so excited.

He's such an intense cat.

Nope he couldn't care less.

While Olly is 'hanging' out....
I on the other hand am busy
getting last minute things done.

You know...looking for 'dust bunnies'
cleaning the fridge
vacuuming
dusting
polishing
etc.

Hubby came down with the flu
so I'm trying to get everything done
as fast as I can just in case I come
down with it too!

They won't be here until tomorrow
but I also need to mow
and then get some baking done
so I've got my work cut
out for me .

Wish me luck.

Have a great week!

Oh Miss Maura,

NOT THE FLU? Poor hubby. Be careful that you don't get sick.

Oh, Ollie is so precious. We love kitty cats.

Have a wonderful time with your sister.

I hope the flu doesn't spoil your much anticipated entertaining. I love baking when my house is nice and clean. The baking makes the whole house smell great.

Visitors are always alot of work, even when it is just family. One wants the house to look just right! I love it when my sisters come to visit, and I do the same thing, scurry from one corner of the house to the other, cleaning, tidying, putting some order to the place. The kids like to joke, "mom is cleaning lots, company must be on its way". Enjoy your sister's visit. And LOVE Olly's pictures, your photography is wonderful and your cat just darling

May I suggest some caffine.

When I have company, I used to shoot around the house like a rocket. Now I still shoot around, but I find myself not as organized. I have found that if everything does not get done perfectly, no big deal. Those who visit, love me and forgive me the dust bunnies that I missed.

Good luck and have a great time with your sister. She is going to love that room.

Isn't that just like furry babies to loll around while you are scurryint to get things down. I know it will be perfect...enjoy your visit and I pray you don't get sick, too. Patty

Oh Maura ~ I'm so sorry that your DH has the flu and hope you do not come down with it too, or your sister and family. May your DH's rcovery be swift.

I love Olly's laid back attitude, wish I had it more often than not.

Many blessings and a prayer for health and a great time while your sister is here.

I hope your DH feels better soon and that you don't become sick. That would be so disappointing.

It is sweet of you to do so much for your sister to come and visit. Just don't get yourself so tired that you are too tired to visit.

Have a nice time!

Dear Maura,
Listen to what Olly is trying so hard to tell you!!! Rest and take care of your husband and yourself first. The rest of it really won't matter when all is said and done. So glad you are having this special visit with your sister. She is going to love Lilac Lane Cottage! Have a great time!

Your photo's of Ollie are brilliant.
I'm sure your sister will be too happy and excited to see you all then to check for dust. But I'm the same I like to try for perfection. The only thing is that by doing all that work beforehand you'll be wrecked to enjoy the actual visit.
Ollie's got it right I think...chill and enjoy life!
Hope your hubby recovers but in the meantime is selfish and keeps it to himself.
Have fun and make lots of happy memories whilst your sister is with you. Enjoy ;D

Oh how I just love these photos of Olly. They make me smile. How very exciting to have your sister coming. I'm sure it will be a wonderful time. What a time for the flu to show up though, although, now that I think about it there really isn't a good time for that awful bug. :) Wishing you a wonderful time!!

Maura, You must be in seventh heaven right about now! At least I hope so, and that you haven't caught the flu. Enjoy every minute with your sis. I so wish I had one. : ) Although I may have an honorary one or two!

Your guest room is gorgeous and with a fire in her line of sight, she just may never leave, or was that the plan? ; )

Have fun!
