A Little Fall Decorating

I don't have a lot of indoor fall decorations.\
to play with.

I think I need a trip to Hobby Lobby!

If you're looking for dust....you're probably
going to see it.

I promise I'm going to dust and polish before
my sister get's here next Wednesday!

No use doing it twice....right?!

The white pumpkins you see ....
they're from our last years crop
and they're still looking good.

I found this little crystal bowl at a garage
sale years ago and it wasn't until
today that I REALLY took
a good look at it.

I don't remember seeing this spider web.

I don't know who the maker of this bowl is
but who ever it is they did a beautiful
job. The cut work is deep and 'crisp'
and yet it's very delicate.

Not bad for $1 !

I'm not sure how much more decorating I'll be doing
but if I find something I like while Sis and I
are 'out and about'.... and it's a DEAL
it will be coming home with me.

Are you done your fall decorating?

~~~~~~
I'm still working on my blog.
I'm sorry if you've been looking around and
clicking on things and they aren't working.
I may have to delete a couple of tabs as I'm a
computer klutz.
I think everything else is working OK.
If you find a problem please
let me know.
Thanks.
I hope your weekend is a good one!
The white pumpkin makes a lovely decoration!
Don't worry about your housework Maura, Decorating comes before Dusting in the dictionary :-D
The pumpkin looks great.
I really like the bowl. Funny about the spider web.
Your comment on my blog!!! LOL Yes, I never got to have my name called on Romper Room. I would always be so disappointed. No, I didn't walk all through Paramount. I just visited my favorite booths. I have done both the flea market and Paramount before and yes, I was really tuckered out afterwards!! I wonder how many miles that would be?
I love white pumpkins, yours are just the perfect size for decorating here and there..
What a beautiful bowl, I would bet someone treasured that little gem as I know you do.
It's looking like Fall around your farm :)
wow, what a neat pattern & a spider web as well ... awesome!! i believe it's impossible to get rid of dirt completely. it returns pretty quickly. no matter how often you dust. i went to a hobby lobby for the 1st time this past weekend... now what a place that is ... my mind was spinning. there was so much to look at, you could spend hours in there looking. it was also heartbreaking because i'm not rich enough to buy it all. i will have to return again soon to visit that store. i will continue to say it's the little things in life that make it all worth while. (:
Oh Miss Maura,
Everything looks just lovely - just like you. (o:
I love the music, in fact I stopped typing and did a twirl with Mom. Then we laughed and hugged.
Oh, we have been decorated since September 1. It was 90 degrees but she insisted that it's fall in our house. Gotta love her - and I do. (o:
Hi Maura
I'm with you, dust before company!
I love the little crystal dish with the butterfly in the spider web, great find for only $1.
I don't have many fall decor items either and how I wish Hobby Lobby would come to Canada.
Good luck with your blog, I'm not so computer savvy myself which is why I hired a designer to do mine over. Much less stress and not too expensive.
You are so artistic. I love it when you show us around. Cute how that little pumpkin only weighted about a pound.
Wow, Maura, I am amazed that those white pumpkins lasted from last year! Did they dry out? My little pumpkins from this year rotted before October arrived. Party poopers!
Hi Maura, I like your blog look and it is coming along nicely. I like the fall decorations. I don't do a lot, just don't have enough hours in a day to do everything I want to do. Today was a day of mixed emotions, our son left today for his new job. I haven't cried so I am so proud of myself. When he was in the service, I cried everytime I took him to the airport to report back to his ship after he got on the plane. He called this evening to let us know where he was and that he had stopped for today. Take care and enjoy the visit with your sister. Your Missouri Friend.
I've done all the fall decorating I'm going to do this year. In fact, I've had it up so long that I'm almost ready to move on to Christmas! I guess that partly comes from seeing the Christmas things out so early in the stores.
Your hutch is gorgeous and your dishes are so pretty! Love the little crystal piece, that was quite a find! Your fall decor looks great. I love Hobby Lobby, too. They have some beautiful things.
Hi Maura,
I noticed that you have the same chicken lamp that I do! I just love it. I have mine in the corner of a kitchen counter with a small wattage bulb that stays on 24 hours a day.
I am in love with the delicacy of that bowl with the butterfly. Really beautiful.
Okay, what's your secret for keeping your pumpkins from rotting and drying out?
Everything's lookin' good! :)
I'm sure your sister won't notice the dust.
I like the look of your blog and I loved this post. I think you've got the perfect amount of decorating - it all fits in your decor, and that's what I think it should do.
Have fun with your sister!
Oh so lovely - especially the crystal bowl. I love your white decorations. I don't decorate for fall because I don't care for fall colors in the least. It always depresses me - but now I think I'll do some white decorating for fall - if I can find some white pumpkins. Thanks for the lovely idea.
