Vintage Style Country Garden

This past Sunday Hubby and I headed over to his brother Perry and his wife Donna's little farm in the country.

They live in a sweet little house that was once a
school house back in the late 1800's.

There wasn't much done to the farm as far as gardening
goes so Donna had to start from scratch.
She had been collecting old items
for her garden in the city
so had a few
things
to place around
her designated garden area.
She has since added to her collection of 'garden art'
in the +2 years they have lived there.
It's a sweet little garden and
I hope you'll enjoy taking
a little look
around.

You
can enlarge
the mosaic if you wish.

I love this mailbox

Donna collects old stoves

They found this old washing machine at an auction

Love this

Isn't this the sweetest little garden shed.
And I LOVE this screened door!

I hope you've enjoyed visiting Donna's
garden with me. I'll probably
be back taking more
pictures as she
adds to
her
collection.

Thanks for the photo 'op' Donna!

I'm going to attempt to join Sue at
for Rednesday Wednesday so I hope you pop on over to visit her and all the other fellow Bloggers who have joined in.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Maura :)

I adore the garden shed, mine is white and I would love to paint it red. All the garden architure pieces are fantastic. Happy Rednesday.

At first glance I thought the little red building was their house !
It would be a cute little house, although it is certainly the sweetest little potting shed.
Love all the vintage relics around the farm, they just make you feel as if you have stepped back in time.
What a cozy homestead they have !

I love Donna's garden shed. She's sure added a lot since I was there. Guess she hasn't found a new cast iron mini chair like she gave me. I'm sure grateful for that one. I try to use it in the garden but our granddaughter thought is was just her size so lost it to her. That's okay, though. I'm really looking forward to going back over to Donna's to see the place in person as soon as we can...miss you...love you...Scufty

How cute , Love it all ! The red door is sweet lol I have a white one on my front . Same senario as us ! Our house was a school house before a farm house, built in 1885 ! We have the original school house foundation down stairs in the crawl space / cellar that we get to by a floor door in our mud room ! I love history in buildings as well as towns and villages ! Have a great day !

Not sure what is my favorite, that fantastic screen door, the washing machine or the garden gate. I've been looking for an old gate for some time now... it doesn't even have to be "red" :)

The washing machine, well that would be for my husband so that he would STOP using my nice washing machine for filthy, dirty, greasy rags and such. The last time I had to actually scrub it out!

I love it! I dream of living in a little old schoolhouse or a little library. And if I can't do that, I want a little houseboat.

I LOVE RED! You can't go wrong with a pop of red, can you? I especially love it on the little garden shed... I keep trying to talk my hubs into painting our front door red. One day I'm gonna get the paint can out myself!
