Hangin Out With My Buds

Olly popping out to hang out with the rest of us.

It was another beautiful sunny warm day here on the farm yesterday. Not much was going on as Hubby was off
helping his buddy work on a vehicle
so I hung out with a few of
my farm buds.

Shep...he loves hanging out with me

Chelsea too

Chelsea and Shep and I headed over to the coop to see
what was going on over there.

Olly came out to see what we were up to.

He headed back inside when I opened the door...
he likes to visit with the chickens too.

This is Helen...the hen from h-ll.
She's setting on a clutch of eggs
and boy you just TRY and get near those eggs!

This is Buttercup. She's broody too but she doesn't
care if there aren't any eggs under her.
She just likes to 'set'
and dream of being
a momma.
The funny thing about Buttercup is she
tends to go 'broody' often
and OH MY is she moody!
She's like a chicken with PMS!

I collected up the eggs and headed back outside.

My 'buds' were waiting for me.

It was a good day.

I hope your weekend is a good one!

Maura :)

Miss Maura,

What a nice visit "we" had at Lilac Lane Cottage. We love the pictures of Olly, Shep & Chelsea and laughed when we read about Helen. Buttercup looks so sweet. We are amazed that Olly gets along with the chickens. Sweet kitty.

Hugs, & have a wonderful weekend with the "buds"

look at all those beautiful eggs!!! I buy mine free range, no hormones etc. etc. at Trader Joes. How wonderful to be able to just go to the coop and get them. You live a magical life my sweet “bud”...

Well, it is never a dull day when surrounded by our animal friends. I just came back from shopping at my local scrapbooking store...that makes me happy, without breaking the bank! :) Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Maura.

I adore your chickens. My cat use to like to go in and see my chickens. He would even get into the nest and the chickens didn't mind.

Lovely photo of your dogs and Olly. I use to have a tabby like him. I sure miss mine.

Thanks for sharing your day with us. It is beautiful indeed.

Have a blessed weekend.

What a fun little family you have there! Of course I love the pups, and how lucky to have fresh eggs (well, if you can get them;)!
Happy weekend!

Our girls have pretty much stopped laying now that it's cold and dark so early. I love your header!

I love collecting the eggs... There's such a rhythm to it. Everyday. It's soothing - unless there's a seriously broody hen! Next come the yummy baked goods! Yay! Thanks for sharing your day here. : )

Looks like you had a wondeful day. I've worked on my husband for a couple years to get chickens but no such luck. Enjoy your PMS hen. :-)

Nuthin better than hangin' out on the farm with your best buds. In my case, those would be 3 Border Collies.
