Changes In The Air

It won't be long now until the plants are brought in for the winter and the planters are emptied
and the furniture on the old
back porch is
put away.

I usually put it off for as long as I can.

Up until Saturday our temperatures
were in the 80's
but gradually they are lowering.
Today is 72
and I hear thunder rumbling out
of the north.

I guess I shouldn't complain
because it won't
be long before
it's snowing.

So enjoy your Indian Summer
if you're lucky enough
to get it.

Enjoy the outdoors as much
as you can.
It won't be long until we are
sitting in front of the fire
wishing we were out
in the garden.

Happy Thanksgiving to
all my family up in
Canada!

I'm linking up with Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday . I hope you will visit the lovely Mary to see all the beautiful mosaics from fellow Bloggers.

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday.

Maura :)

Miss Maura,

We LOVE your kitty-kat. "Here kitty, kitty, we will give you a sardine, here kitty."

Snow, wish we lived where there was lots of snow. Oh well, maybe someday...

Hi Sweetie, I am back home. I got a bad cold the day before I came back and when I had a stopover in Denver I thought my ears would explode...and the pain. So my first week back was spent sick in bed in the dark...today I finally went back to yoga. My husband had the last day of his show so i did drag myself out of bed for that. It was great. Loved your last couple of posts. Yes, I agree your sis has it made...to live in the country that close to London? who weee...how I would love to live out the rest of my days like that...no complaints. When you going to see her again...talk soon. c

Love your mosaic. We finally got some rain today 6/10's of an inch, but it has been a nice day to see the rain. It has been so long that I forgot how good it smells.

Have a wonderful week.

I used to live on Lilac Lane in Marion, Ohio. I'm enjoying the wonderful fall weather, but I dread winter. La

We are putting away the summer plants and patio pieces this week. Hubby is planting winter pansies today so we will still have some color we hope. Love your header at the top of your blog. Also will be interested to see the cottage your sister finds. I think a cottage would be so fun, hope she can find something she likes.

Beautiful photos...:) Our temps are lower, too.

I am right the opposite of most you ladies here...when working in my garden, I can't wait for winter. It's my very favorite time of the year.

The olden blue chairs in my living room are the last of blues in there. I wore myself out on blues...decorated with it for more years than I care to admit and totally burned myself out. So, I am ready to move on to some other chairs. Thought about slipcovers but they never seem to look very nice after folks have sat on them. Would cost me more to recover than to buy new, probably. *heavy sigh

We don't get much snow here in Raleigh, NC and that's okay with me...we relocated here 15 years ago from NH and haven't look back because of all the huge snow storms we used to have to dig ourselves out of...ugh! Enjoying the lovely fall for as long as possible...have a great week, fondly, Roberta
