Ozark Mo. Eye Candy


Here are a few more things we
saw in the Antique Malls
in Ozark Mo.

How about that chandelier! 



This wicker glider
would have been wonderful when 
we lived in the old Victorian house.


Mecky this display above reminded me
 of you!


I loved this booth above!


I loved this 'possum belly' Hoosier
cabinet and that copper boiler
would have worked great for
our firewood beside the stove.

We had to be careful what we bought
 as we thought Donna's 
cupboard was going to fit in the
SUV. In the end it didn't!






I thought you would like to see
this valance.
How different!

Hubby said it looked like the 
spoons were just hot glued to the burlap.



Below are some of the treasures
I brought home with me.


I will probably paint this and age it.

I love the old hooks.





This is my favorite purchase.
I saw some new reproductions 
but I wanted the 'real deal'.

Most had been around $90
but I found this old
 one for $70!







I love the curved spout on this coffee pot.


I needed a place to put my jute string 
and saw this...I'm sure it's not old
but I don't care.
It's better than the plastic container
I have mine in now!


I love birdhouses made from old wood.
This one had a great corrugated
tin roof.



You can NEVER have enough
white ironstone ;)


I also bought a HEAVY
'BUNKHOUSE' 
sign that hubby put up on the 
garden shed/chicken coop
for me.

AND
an old green enamel 
barn lamp that hubby is 
going to make a 
goose neck for.

That will eventually go on the 
screened porch
once it's built. 

Well I hope you enjoyed
coming along for a jaunt around
a few of the Ozark antique
 malls with us.

    There is so much to love here.Love the hooks on the chalkboard & the granite-ware....oh my!

    Hi Maure,
    a very good pprice on the bread bin. These were my bread and butter when I did my English shopping trips. I use to get $140 for them back in
    the day. They were so popular you couldn’t find them anymore. It’s amazing that anything survived the bombings in England during the
    war but I suppose alot of them came from the country side.

    I have enjoyed your tours of the antique malls that you shopped. This is one of my favorite things to do also. I have to limit my purchases because I have such a small place. Love your purchases.

    Oh everything is so wonderful. We seem to have similar tastes.

    That chandelier is crazy fabulous - but what a big kitchen you would need, to have one that big - maybe a smaller version would be a decorating idea for my kitchen - hmmmm so much to ponder.

    Well, that chandelier is quite something. I am sure it is a one of a kind item. I guess you have to have "just the right setting" for something like that.The valance would go perfect with it.

    I do have some "different" lighting sitting in my basement though - they were "what was I thinking" moments.

    Like your choices.

    Lovely treasures and that is a good buy on the bread box -- they have certainly went up in value and it looks like a good one.

    Next trip out we'll have to go down to Ozark -- we've not been in a while and you've certainly whetted my appetite.

    That chandelier is quite something; I am sure it is a one of a kind. I guess you would really need just the right setting for it. It certainly would make an interesting conversation piece.

    What a grand place !
    I loved the chandelier, so unusual, and inventive.
    The bread bin brings to mind that of my grandma's, she had one in the kitchen exactly the same...you got it for a great price.
    What a great trip, and a car load of pretties to enjoy in your precious cottage...

    I love your finds, like the "twine keeper" and ironstone. Seeing the chandelier and getting a photo is the best "find" in the "oh my" department. And you didn't purchase because of expense? (smile)

    I forgot to mention that I just love thos hooks on the message board. I have never seen any like that before!! So cool!

    BTW, have fun tomorrow if you are planning to go You Know Where!! I can't be there and I will be sad all day!! I believe that the Unique Antique show is next weekend. I enjoy that. It is such a "woman's flea market" Lots of eye candy there!

    what great treasures you came home with. You may want to check out Unique Antique Market this Sunday in Wichita, if your not to far away. 21st st and Ridge road at the Extention Ctr from 10 - 5 I always get there early to start gathering treasures. Have a great fall weekend

    Love the bread box, which reminded me that my grandmother had one just like it....hmm....I wonder where that went?
