Early Fall Collage


It's starting to feel like fall here on the farm
which is a nice change from the record
heat we've experienced this summer.

I love fall.

I love the cool evenings and the crisp mornings.

The way the light falls.

The goose down comforter is now on the bed
and it won't be long until we're
wrapped in warm fuzzy flannel sheets.

It's time to bring in wood for the fire.

Such a beautuful time of year.

    ...the way the light falls...yes, that's exactly it! It's more than the cool crisp air, but the light too. Beautiful photos Maura!

    Nice collage, i do like fall, it's the season i like best.Here it is raining at the moment (one week rain!) but we are used to it as it is the most rainy part of France!!!but it's nice to stay inside! good week Catherine

    Beautiful photos indeed... I haven't broke out the down comforter yet, even though we've left some windows open during these 40-something nights!!! Temps go back up tomorrow so hopefully we have another 2 weeks or so of very pleasant, warm weather. This is most certainly, hands-down, my favorite time of year. :-)

    Hi Maura, Lovely fall collage you have made. I love Fall and it is my favorite season because of all of the colors even if they are subtle down in Texas.

    From a painter's view I love the intensity of the light. It is so beautiful that I want to go and paint.

    I did buy a down comforter, but it has not been cold enough to really use it.

    Lovely photos in your collage...what a pretty collection! I love the old church/schoolhouse(?) it's so full of history...if only it could talk! And yes I agree...there's something about the way the light slants this time of year. It's absolutely my favorite season.
