Pie Pie Me Oh My!

Apple Pie

Yesterday was a beautiful day other than being in a 'tornado watch' from mid morning until 9pm. I decided to grab my camera and check out the fruit trees to see how they're doing.  To my surprise they are really doing well but after not producing any fruit last year because of a late freeze that killed all the blossoms the tree's are making up for it this season which is overloading some of the branches. The tree's are old and have never really been pruned so we lost a few branches from overload but if all goes well we should have enough fruit for us eat and preserve and share with the birds!

  1. These look yummy! Is it ok to eat pie for breakfast? :) My favorite in the summer is rhubarb pie, fall is pumpkin pie, but all year round I love apple pie. Love it.

  4. Your pies look delicious!!! I love fruit pies!! How wonderful that you have so many fruit trees right there. My grandmother had a plum tree and she made jam every summer. To this day, plum jam is my very favorite.

  6. I love all pie :) Your treats all look simply divine! Our grapes are going crazy this year again. Unfortunately I'm the only one here who eats grape jelly and I still have a stockpile from last year. Ideas?? :) Sounds like you will have a fruitalicious feast very soon! -Tammy

  9. There is nothing like a piece of warm cherry pie or apple with ice cream on top. It is o.k. to eat pie any time of the day according to my book. I usually get fruit and vegetables from my brother when I go to the farm. They can and freeze the fruit and vegetables, but still have enough to share. I enjoyed catching up reading your blog tonight. Have a great weekend.
